The world´s first financial incentive of its kind to revolutionise the way heat is generated and used in buildings has been launched by Energy Secretary Chris Huhne. Tell me more...
The UK market was waiting with a special challenge for redblue energy UK Ltd:. To enable customers to benefit from a tariff for solar-generated electricity the installed products as well as the competent installer have to be accredited with the "Micro-generation Certification Scheme” (MCS) certificate. The certificate is issued from the UK's leading testing authority, British Standards Institute (BSI). The certificate is also relevant in the field of heat pump and solar thermal installations.
The scheme is seen as something positive. It should provide transparency for the customer in the quality of installations and products. But the requirement that feed-in tariffs are paid only if MCS certified products are installed from MCS certified installers can be a bureaucratic hurdle sometimes.
However, we have accepted this challenge and are happy to look back on a successful accreditation in the field of photovoltaic and heat pump. For more information regarding MCS please visit www.microgenerationcertification.org
